The Ambassador of Georgia met with the Head of Foreign Relations of the Federal Assembly

On 13 February 2023, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Swiss Confederation, H.E. Revaz Lominadze held a meeting with H.E. Ambassador Claudio Fischer, the Head of the Foreign Relations Department of the Parliamentary Services of the Swiss Confederation.

The parties discussed the issue of the current difficult security environment in Europe. Attention was focused on the challenges faced by the two countries and ways to overcome those challenges.

The Ambassador of Georgia informed his Swiss colleague of the ongoing processes in Georgia, in particular, the dynamic and prospects of the integration process of Georgia in the European Union.

The parties also discussed the current situation in the region. The Ambassador of Georgia highlighted the importance of the regional and international projects which increase the role of Georgia in ensuring energy security.

The Ambassadors have drawn attention to the importance of active inter-parliamentary relations in the light of the current challenges. They positively assessed the dynamics of the legislative bodies of the two countries and expressed their readiness to promote further cooperation.
