Chronology of Diplomatic Relations
Diplomatic relations between Georgia and the Principality of Liechtenstein were established on 10 June 1992.
Fields of cooperation
Georgia and the Principality of Liechtenstein actively cooperate in the frames of international organizations.
The Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia paid a visit to the Principality of Liechtenstein in 2016, and in 2015 the Vice Prime Minister of the Principality of Liechtenstein paid an official visit to Georgia.
The Convention between the Government of Georgia and the Government of the Principality of Liechtenstein for the Avoidance of Double Taxation and the Prevention of Fiscal Evasion with Respect to Taxes on Income and on Capital is in force.
In terms of further deepening the economic cooperation, special note should be taken of the Free Trade Agreement between the European Free Trade Association (EFTA - Iceland, Liechtenstein, Norway, and Switzerland) and Georgia. The Agreement with respect to Liechtenstein came into force on 1 May 2018.
