On 7 February, another round of political consultations was held between the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia and the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation.

The Government is ready and mobilised to make further progress towards the EU membership”,  Ilia Darchiashvili, the candidate for the position of the Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, said when speaking at the joint session of the Georgian Parliament's European Integration and Diaspora and Caucasus Affairs Committees, where he discussed in detail the EU integration, the success achieved on this path and the future plans.

On 18 January 2024, the official presentation of the 2024-2027 action plan of the Council of Europe for Georgia took place. The meeting was opened by the First Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs, Lasha Darsalia, and the Deputy Secretary General of the Council of Europe, Bjorn Berge. The meeting was attended by representatives of the executive, legislative and judicial authorities of Georgia, officials of the Council of Europe and members of the diplomatic corps accredited to Georgia.
