Ambassador of Georgia met with the President of the Canton of Jura

On 17 February 2023, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Swiss Confederation, H.E. Revaz Lominadze paid an official visit to the Canton and Republic of Jura, where he held a meeting with the President of the Government, H.E. Jacques Gerber and State Chancellor H.E. Jean-Baptiste Maitre.

The Ambassador of Georgia informed the leaders of the Canton of Jura of the facts and reasons for the rapid and dynamic development of economy, favorable business environment and investment potential of Georgia. They exchanged views on prospects of future cooperation in specific directions.

The parties discussed the security challenges on the European continent and the extremely difficult situation in the occupied regions of Georgia for years. The Ambassador informed the Swiss side on the peaceful conflict resolution policy of the Georgian government and noted vital importance of the Swiss Government’s efforts in Georgia’s relations with Russia.
