AT THE GLOBAL MIGRATION FORUM, INTERNATIONAL ORGANIZATIONS HIGHLY PRAISED GEORGIA'S STATE DIASPORA POLICY AND PROGRAMS SUPPORTING YOUNG DIASPORANS

The delegation from Georgia, led by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Vladimer Konstantinidi, actively participated in the fourteenth summit of the Global Forum on Migration and Development, themed "From ecological challenges affecting migration to cultural aspects." The summit took place in Geneva from January 23 to 25. Giorgi Jashi, Executive Secretary of the Government Commission on Migration Issues, is representing Georgia at the global forum.

During the event, a round table focusing on diaspora issues, titled "Diaspora as a driving force of economic, social, and cultural development," was conducted, and the Georgian delegation actively participated in the discussions. The central theme of the discourse was the role of diaspora in the context of sustainable development. The Georgian delegation contributed to the discussion by sharing insights into the current state diaspora policy, ongoing ministry activities, future plans, and global best practices.

It is noteworthy that, within the discussion, international partners expressed high appreciation for Georgia's state policies and programs that ensure the support of young diasporas and their active involvement.

In this context, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Georgia, Vladimer Konstantinidi, provided an overview of the ministry's program for young compatriots living abroad, titled "Be a Young Ambassador of Your Country," and discussed its effectiveness.
