Annual Presentation of New Year's greetings hosted by the newly elected President of the Swiss Confederation, H.E. Mr. Guy Parmelin
On 14 January 2026, on behalf of H.E. President Guy Parmelin, a Presentation of New Year's greetings for the diplomatic corps accredited to the Swiss Confederation was held at the Federal Palace in Bern.
Alongside the President of the Swiss Confederation, the guests were welcomed by the Head of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation, H.E. Ignazio Cassis. The official event was attended by the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Swiss Confederation, H.E. Shota Getsadze, and the Counsellor of the Embassy of Georgia, Mr. Imedi Alshibaia.
