On January 31, 2023, the Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary of Georgia to the Swiss Confederation, H.E. Revaz Lominadze, held a meeting with H.E. Ambassador Mirko Zambelli, the Head of the Eurasia Division of the Federal Department of Foreign Affairs of the Swiss Confederation. The parties discussed current issues of relations between the two countries and concrete plans for future cooperation.
The Ambassadors exchanged views on the ongoing geopolitical processes on the European continent, the challenges facing Georgia and Switzerland and ways to overcome those challenges.
Revaz Lominadze spoke about the process of Georgia's integration into European structures, progress and prospects in this direction. He also provided the Swiss colleague with information on all those important regional and international projects that increase the role of Georgia in terms of transit and energy security. The discussion at the meeting also touched upon the current situation in the region and the security environment.
The parties expressed their willingness to actively work on mutual exchange of high-level visits, which will contribute to the deepening of close and practical cooperation between the two countries in various fields.
