Embassy of Georgia to the Swiss Confederation and Principality of Liechtenstein congratulates Vakhtang Marjanidze on winning the 2019 open contest of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia within the Program “Be Young Ambassador of your country” and expresses its aspiration that with this status, Vakhtang will be able to carry out a range of interesting projects.
During the meeting held at the Embassy on February 5, the Ambassador of Georgia to the Swiss Confederation, David Jalagania and Consul, Ketevan Esiashvili, shared with “the Young Ambassador” scheduled priorities of the Embassy in the fields of culture, education, tourism, humanitarian and other issues, as well as exchanged ideas connected with the implementation of “young ambassador”s ideas and scheduled program.
Currently, Vakhtang Marjanidze is a first-year student at the University of Bern and the Embassy hopes that the status of Georgia's "young ambassador" will enable him to წიდერrepresent Georgia, its culture and potential, especially among his fellow students, social and academic circles in Switzerland.
Within the framework of the program "Be Young Ambassador of Your Country" implemented by the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of Georgia every year, with a one-year mandate, young people have been selected in 25 countries already; Switzerland has been included in the program for the first time this year. The goals of the program are: popularization of Georgia, creation of a network of young foreign friends of Georgia, close relations with representatives of the Georgian community.
