Head of Government of Georgia attended the official launch of the 50th Anniversary this morning, which started with welcoming speeches of Professor Klaus Schwab, WEF Founder; Simonetta Sommaruga, President of the Swiss Confederation and Donald J. Trump, President of the United States of America.
Climate change is among the key topics of WEF in Davos this year.
Annual WEF in Davos, which celebrates its 50th Anniversary in 2020, engages a great number of national leaders from all over the world.
Georgian Delegation is led by the Prime Minister of Georgia. He will hold almost 30 high-level meetings within the scope of his Working Visit to Switzerland, including those with political leaders, international financial institutions (IFIs) and CEOs of large corporations.
Led by Giorgi Gakharia, the Georgian delegation includes Finance Minister Ivane Machavariani, Ambassador Extraordinary and Plenipotentiary to the Swiss Confederation, David Jalagania, the Prime Minister's Foreign Affairs Adviser Irakli Chikovani, and Economic Adviser Beka Liluashvili.
